Mike and the Mechanics formed as a side project of Mike Rutherford, one of the founding members of Genesis. It also included vocalists Paul Carrack and Paul Young, keyboardist Adrian Lee and drummer Peter Van Hooke.
I saw Paul Carrack as part of “Ringo Starr’s All Starr Band” in 2003. They did not perform this song, but they did perform another Mike and the Mechanics song, “The Living Years”.
