#5 - Missing You - Nathan Caswell

In the summer of 2005, I traveled to Owen Sound, Ontario with my good friends Aaron and Ethan to attend Summerfolk Music Festival. Ethan had been to Summerfolk many times with his parents as a kid, but Aaron and I had never been.

The big name in the lineup was Trout Fishing in America, but my favorite performer was a young guy named Nathan Caswell. I managed to catch a few of his performances and before I left, I picked up his debut album Einstein’s Brain. There are many good tracks on the album, but this song is my favorite.

Shortly after Summerfolk, he released a second album Pulp Town. I pre-ordered from CD Baby as soon as I heard about it. It too is great.

Word on the street is that Nathan Caswell quit the folk music game to teach middle school Science in Vermont, but before he traded his guitar for a bunson burner, he created two fun albums. Do him and yourself a favor and get both.
