Obscure, underrated and random music curated by @cwbowron
In her car when I was a kid, my mom had 4 cassette tapes: Lionel Richie’s Can’t Slow Down, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Cats, and Godspell. I didn’t have much appreciation for Cats, but I did enjoy the other 3. “All For The Best” has been one of my favorite songs from a musical ever since. A duet between Judas and Jesus, the big pay off is the up tempo final verses(s) sung by each at the same time. It’s a treat to see it performed live.
I saw the 2001 National Touring Cast perform Godspell at Wharton Center in East Lansing with my mother. It was very enjoyable.
